Extra Credit Policy
Extra credit is worth up to 1% of the final grade.
What extra credit is given for
Students may be awarded extra credit for actions that improve other students' CS246 experience. Examples include:
- Reporting bugs in course materials.
- Posting especially helpful notes or answers on Piazza.
- Other good deeds, to be judged at the discretion of the teaching staff.
How extra credit is calculated
Everyone who has 0 points in the extra credit sheet will be given no extra credit.
Everyone who has a nonzero number of points in the extra credit sheet will be sorted by the number of extra credit points they have. The amount of extra credit you receive will depend on your rank in the list, as in the following example calculation:
